Keep Your Towels Clean And Soft

Clean and soft microfiber is crucial to preventing scratches on paint.

• Separate microfiber towels by type into designated wash & dry loads.

  • Start by washing “cleaner” towels first, then finish with “grimier” towels.
• Machine wash microfiber goods with Chemical Guys Microfiber Wash and HOT water.
  • Hot water opens the fibers to better release dirt and grease.

These OPTiX Microfibre Ceramic Coating Cloths are the ideal choice for when it comes to the application of a ceramic coating. These cloths are soft to touch and have a thickness of 365gsm to ensure they are light to hold as well as soft enough to minimise scratches.

Colour may differ from photo, each pack of 3 is enough for one coat. Purchasing a 6 pack will provide you enough cloths to do 2 coats of a car.

Three Cloth Coating System

When ceramic coating a car, it is efficient to use a three cloth system. The first one will be used to solely spread the coating around your panel, the second one will buff the coating in and the last cloth will buff off excess (a finishing cloth).

Numbering Your Cloths

Before using the cloths, it is recommended you use a permanent marker to number each corner. One side should have the corners numbered from 1 to 4 and the other with 5 to 8. Now when you fold the cloth into 4, you are able to turn/fold the towel from square 1 to 8. This is important as you will need to turn/fold that towel every 1-2 panels as that certain squares can become too rich of coating.

How To Use It:

1. Assign your three cloths to the first, second and finishing.
2. Number the corners on the first and second cloth.
3. Fold your cloths into 4.
4. Applying coating to the panel with an applicator.
5. With light grip, spread the coating around with the first towel (avoiding surrounding areas such as panels, plastics, windows etc).
6. Use the second towel to buff in the coating.
7. Use the finishing towel to wipe off excess on panel or surrounding areas.

Iron Remover reacts only with ferrous metal which is found on our wheels and paint. Rust occurs when iron sediments react with oxygen when exposed with water/moisture. Iron Remover is a very practical product as it neutralises the bond and takes away the iron element from your wheels or paint therefore, stopping it from rusting if done correctly and frequently. Iron and Iron Oxide particles are jagged and uneven, paint to the eye looks flat to us however it is not. These jagged iron particles can very easily get stuck into the nooks and crannies of the paint etc.

Decontamination

Iron Remover is a good product to use followed up with a good clay bar service to ensure your paint is smooth and clean. This will aid in the process of having a nice surface to work with before an exterior detail and paint correction. It is safe to spray on paint so you can spray the whole car down and depending on the severity, the whole car might turn purple.

Precautions

Our new Australian made formula has more of a hemp like smell than rotten eggs. This product is pH-Neutral but it is advised that if you do get Iron Remover on your skin, that you wash it off with water immediately. It is also a very strong-smelling product and advise you to wear a mask when using it if you do not want to smell it. We also recommend you to wear gloves during decon.

How To Use It:

1. Set the trigger nozzle to a fine mist before you spray.
2. Simply spray a fine mist onto the area you want to decontaminate (try not to spray too much)
3. Wait approximately 10-30 seconds for the iron catalyst to turn purple.
4. Rinse off the area before the purple turns brown. The product is at its most effective stage when it is purple.
