It’s the ultimate old school vs new school muscle car showdown, and a great example of how the love for performance cars continues to evolve across generations.

The Classic: 1970 Ford ZC Fairlane 427 Windsor

Carrie has owned his Ford ZC Fairlane since 1989, making this car a true long-term project and labour of love. Over the years the vehicle has been restored and maintained while still keeping its classic Aussie muscle car appearance intact.

Finished in Polar White, the Fairlane looks largely original on the outside. It still carries that iconic long-body design that made the ZC Fairlane such a standout in the late 1960s and early 1970s. However, under the bonnet is where things get seriously interesting.

Instead of the factory engine, this Fairlane now runs a 427 cubic-inch Windsor stroker V8 built on a Dart block, delivering big torque and classic V8 muscle sound.
