In this episode of Aussie Garage, we head down to the Northern Steel Annual Car Show at Perry Lakes Reserve in Perth, and it absolutely delivered. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just another car show — it was a celebration of Aussie car culture, showcasing everything from classic muscle cars to rare and unique builds you simply don’t see every day.

Even though the turnout was slightly smaller compared to previous years, the quality of vehicles on display was next level. This is something we’re seeing more often — fewer cars, but a much higher standard across the board.

Walking the grounds, we spotted an incredible mix of:

• Tough Aussie muscle cars
• Iconic Ford Falcon builds including XB coupes
• Clean and modified VL Commodores
• Classic Mustangs turning heads
• Panel vans bringing back serious nostalgia
• Unique custom builds that stood out from the crowd

Each car had a story, and that’s what makes events like this so special. It’s not just about polished paint and horsepower — it’s about passion, history, and the people behind the builds.

Meeting Owners and Soaking Up the Atmosphere

One of the best parts of the Northern Steel Car Show is the community vibe. We spent time chatting with car owners, hearing their stories, and getting a closer look at the work that’s gone into these machines.

From long-term restorations to fresh builds hitting the scene for the first time, there was no shortage of interesting conversations. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of genuine enthusiasm for cars.

We also had the Aussie Garage merch stand set up at the event, and it was awesome catching up with fans and supporters of the channel. Seeing the community come together — both online and in person — is what keeps us doing what we do.

A standout moment from the day was meeting a fellow YouTuber who was inspired by Aussie Garage to start his own channel. That’s what it’s all about — supporting the next generation of creators and keeping the car scene alive.
