Have you ever wondered what it looks like when a bunch of YouTubers get together to blow off some steam in the Aussie bush? Well, the Karnage 1000 answers that question in the best way possible — with dust, dodgy mechanics, sideways limos, and a whole lot of laughs.
In our latest adventure, the Aussie Garage crew headed out to the home of the legendary @AutomotiveKarnage for one of our favourite weekends of the year. There’s no prize money, no time trials, and definitely no rules — just a 1km dirt track, a bunch of “booms” (read: bush-bashed rides), and a bunch of mates ready to send it.
What’s the Karnage 1000 All About?
It’s simple, really: bring a car, get it running (sort of), and let loose on DJ’s bush track. It’s less about winning and more about wrenching, rallying, and having a mad time behind the wheel. Some rigs barely made it through the day, others surprised us, but every vehicle had its moment to shine — or explode.
And it wasn’t just cars. We had motorbikes, a wild Can-Am ride, and even a limo that got properly sideways with a full load of passengers in the back. That’s right — drifting a limo in the dirt. If that’s not Aussie automotive chaos at its finest, we don’t know what is.
Shed Shenanigans and Creek Bed Creations
Up in the shed, the usual backyard fixes were in full swing. From makeshift repairs to last-minute “mods,” it was all hands on deck. One personal mission was getting a hood lining into the Creek Bed Pacer — and we’re proud to say it made it about 90% in. Not bad for bush engineering.
Legends All Round
What makes weekends like this one special isn’t just the cars or the carnage — it’s the crew. Huge shoutout to all the legends who showed up, brought gear, mucked in, and made it a safe and respectful event. And of course, a massive thanks to DJ for hosting us once again and letting us tear it up on his track.
