York Motor Show 2026 – Classic Cars Take Over York WA
The York Motor Show 2026 once again transformed the historic streets of York, Western Australia, into a huge celebration of classic cars and motoring.
Dave, Dan and Phil from Aussie Garage headed to York to check out an impressive mix of Australian muscle cars, vintage vehicles, motorcycles, race cars, trucks and custom builds.
Classic Cars and Australian Muscle
There was plenty for Holden and Ford fans to enjoy, including some tough Holden HQs and a genuine HSV GTS-R.
HSV Nation also put together an impressive display, taking home recognition for their club presentation.
Rotary fans weren’t forgotten either, with several Mazda RX-7s among the cars filling York’s historic streets.
Vintage and Rare Machines
One of the great things about the York Motor Show is the variety.
A beautifully restored 1923 Dodge showed just how far motoring has come over the past century, while a huge International R200 truck represented another side of Australia’s motoring history.
We also found Formula 500 race cars, motorcycles, vintage vehicles and a very cool custom Morris van.
There’s something different around almost every corner.
York Motor Museum
While in town, we stopped at the York Motor Museum for a look at its collection of Australian motoring history.
One of the most unusual machines was Rosco McGlashan’s jet-powered go-kart.
It’s a fascinating piece of machinery connected to one of Australia’s best-known land-speed racers and definitely isn’t your average go-kart!
