Aussie Garage headed west to Booragoon, WA, to immerse ourselves in one of the most iconic Blue Oval celebrations on the calendar — the 55th Anniversary Customer Appreciation Day at American Auto Parts, better known as Mr Mustang. This milestone event marked 55 years of Ford Mustang history, bringing together some of the finest classic and modern Mustangs Western Australia has to offer, all in one action-packed show-and-shine.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was pure Mustang passion. The car park and surrounding streets were packed with everything from concours-level classics to tough street-driven builds, creating a walk-through display that perfectly captured the evolution of the Ford Mustang. For Aussie Garage, it was the perfect setting to showcase the depth of Mustang culture in Australia while celebrating a business that has become a cornerstone of the local scene.
The variety on display was next level. Early K-Code Mustangs sat proudly alongside Shelby GT350s and GT500s, while rare and highly sought-after models like the Boss 302 and Mach 1 drew constant crowds. Fastbacks and convertibles showcased timeless American muscle styling, while late-model Mustangs powered by modern Coyote engines proved that the Mustang legacy is still very much alive and evolving.
What made this event stand out wasn’t just the cars — it was the people.
