In today’s episode of Aussie Garage, we got exclusive access to one of Western Australia’s best-kept secrets — Andy’s mind-blowing classic car collection. Tucked away in what he calls “Shed One,” this is no ordinary garage. It’s a shrine to Aussie muscle, Mopar madness, and the raw passion of a collector who’s been obsessed with cars since childhood.
It All Started with a Monaro
Andy’s love for cars was ignited at just eight years old when he spotted a HG-HT Holden Monaro while living in Exmouth. That moment sparked a lifelong obsession — and what followed is one of the most vibrant and diverse private car collections we’ve seen.
The First Love: VG Valiant Regal 770
We begin our walkthrough with Andy’s very first collector car, a VG Valiant Regal 770, which he bought in 1989 for just $1,000 from Shack Holden in Fremantle. This Mopar gem runs a 264 Hemi, Borg Warner gearbox, and extractors, and has never been repainted. It’s almost entirely original — and still proudly sits in the collection more than 35 years later. Talk about a time capsule!
Big Mo – The Beast in the Shed
Next up is one of the wildest builds in the collection:
“Big Mo” – VH Valiant Charger
This monster is powered by a 440 big block with nitrous, a 9” Ford diff, and 35 spline axles. It’s seen serious action at the Perth Motorplex, clocking sub-10 second passes before tighter safety rules ended its racing days. The interior? A full-blown throwback with crushed velour seats and unmistakable ’90s flair.
Andy’s not one to let his cars sit idle — he rotates through his fleet regularly, even lending cars out to mates for events. That’s what true car culture is all about.
